Storing food for emergencies is important and grains are the foundation of many meals. Why storing wheat is better than flour. Make the most of your food storage.
Unless you are gluten intolerant, wheat is something that you eat pretty much every single day. Even those with an aversion to wheat can have other grains like Spelt or Teff. Whether that is in a bread or ingredient in some of your favorite dishes, whole grains are one of those things that is on every continent and part of just about every culture now.
Most preppers have flour stored for emergencies but there is an inherent problem with that: flour does not store for the long term very well. Any bit of moisture or airflow will decrease the storage life very quickly. Even if stored in an airtight container and kept in the dark, the flour will eventually go stale or rancid.
