Recycling Yogurt Containers
If you are anything like our family, you are very conscientious about waste and alternative disposal systems. In this article from Premeditated Leftovers, we learn about 10 simple uses for old yogurt containers that will give new life to the container, and make your life and food storage a little bit more organized with very little effort.
It all starts when you first clean the yogurt container and sometimes making it pretty by using washi tape, scrapbook paper, or old fabric.
One idea that I really liked was reusing the containers for storing snacks on the go. You can make a new label for the container and store snacks in the car for those grumpy Gus’ we tote around.
Another idea I liked was reusing the container for a planter. You can make it a day project with the kids and paint the outside of the containers to make them pretty. You would be getting your kids excited about growing and recycling. Just make sure you poke holes in the bottom of the container so the water can drain.
Organizationally, I never thought of using a yogurt container to sort out the odds and ends in my desk drawer, but that’s what you can use the smaller yogurt containers for, and they fit neatly inside most drawers.
By giving yogurt containers a new life, you are throwing away less and improving your home.
