I stopped buying these 10 things at the grocery store and added money back into the monthly budget.
Anyone who has a tight budget (the vast majority of Americans) has felt the sharp increase in the price of food the last few years. Many people have stopped buying the extras they used to enjoy. Not only that, people are looking for ways to save money by lowering their utility bills, moving into smaller places, and eating out less. Even with all of these steps and shopping the sales, there is still too much month and not enough money for many people.
There are other ways you can save money while sacrificing nothing and learning some new skills at the same time! Making your own vegetable stock, crackers, and hand soap are all ways you can put a deep slash into your overall monthly expenses. In many ways, you simply trade time to make the items yourself (surprisingly little time, at that!) in exchange for the money you would spend on the ready-made items. In many cases, you end up with a superior quality item than you would buy at the store!
